Visual Identity for Project Caucasus. The project represents a company offering guiding, trekking, and mountaineering services across Georgia.
This logomark carries a multilayered meaning. While designing it, I was thinking about the Caucasus Mountains and aimed to merge two elements: the highest mountain routes and the native Caucasian flower, Deka.
I began by mapping routes from some of the region’s most iconic peaks including Shkhara, Elbrus, Ushba, Ailama, Kazbek, Dzhangi-Tau,Tetnuldi and Dykh-Tau. I took pictures from the web and draw the route lines. Most of these routes are part of Archil Badriashvili’s climbs. By tracing and layering them, the shapes started to resemble both a top view of a mountain and the organic form of a flower.
The result is a symbol that reflects:
• Top view of the Deka flower
• Top view of the Mountain Peak which connects different routes And the Geological layers of the Earth
